What is High Lipoprotein(a)?

Lipoprotein(a), or Lp(a), is a type of cholesterol in the blood. High levels of Lp(a) are a genetic risk factor for cardiovascular diseases, including heart attack and stroke, as it can contribute to the buildup of fatty deposits in arteries. Elevated Lp(a) affects 1 in 5 people and is called "The Silent Killer", because it often shows no signs or symptoms. This is an internal medicine and cardiology trial.

What is Cardiology?

Cardiology is the branch of medicine that specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of heart and blood vessel disorders. Cardiologists manage conditions such as heart disease, hypertension, arrhythmias, and congenital heart defects, aiming to improve cardiovascular health and prevent heart-related complications. Internal medicine is a branch of medicine focused on the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of adult diseases.   • You are 18 years or older
