Job Description
We are seeking a part-time contract social media manager to implement our digital marketing strategy and grow our online following. This position will be mostly remote, but must include occasional travel to our clinics to capture content for socials. You will work with a warm, friendly team of marketers and clinical trial recruiters who truly care about making a positive difference in the lives of our patients and advancing the future of medicine. About You
The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated self-starter who is communicative, creative, and organized. You have your finger on the pulse of current social trends and algorithm updates. You will enjoy learning about cutting-edge biotech innovations to create effective social media content and ads that convey our compassionate, professional brand voice.
Responsibilities Include:
- Creating monthly social media calendars in alignment with our brand strategy
- Creating and scheduling multiple social media posts per week for all our platforms
- Reporting on social performance to the Director of Marketing & Business Development
- Researching current social trends and ethical guidelines for healthcare providers
- Creating ad campaigns and boosting posts on Meta Business Suite, Google Ads, and/or TikTok, tracking campaign success, and conducting retrospectives
- Occasionally traveling to our clinics to capture content
- Writing and uploading short news posts for our website
- Virtually attending occasional team calls and quarterly staff meetings
- Tracking your own hours and submitting timesheets
Experience
Must have prior experience in the following:
- Social media marketing strategy, content creation and scheduling, community management
- Competency in the following platforms: Canva Pro, Buffer, Meta Business Suite, TikTok Business Suite, LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, Microsoft 365, Microsoft SharePoint, Microsoft Teams
- Experience in healthcare or health and wellness social media marketing
Any of the following experiences would be ideal, but not required:
- Formal education in Marketing (any level)
- Experience in marketing for medical clinics, pharmacies, biotech, or clinical research
- Experience running targeted ad campaigns for small businesses using Meta Business Suite & Google Ads, with campaign budgets ranging from $500-$5,000
- Familiarity with Institutional Review Board (IRB) and FDA ethical standards for clinical research marketing verbiage
- Familiarity with simple website management (i.e., writing and posting news posts on our Drupal 9 website, with assistance from our third-party webdev team)
- Photography experience and equipment
